Being a teen can be tough. But with your support, ConnecTeen is making it easier.
24 hours a day, ConnecTeen provides confidential, non-judgmental peer support to Calgary youth over the phone and by email, online chat and text. Visit calgaryconnecteen.com to learn more about how you can help youth every day.
On Saturday, March 15 2014, ConnecTeen’s 5th annual Hitmen game fundraiser took place at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Thousands of fans turned out to support ConnecTeen and cheer on the Calgary Hitmen as they beat the Kootenay Ice 6 to 3.
Sunglasses were handed out by the thousands, and those wearing a pair were given the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes through our “Face in the Crowd“ contest. Participants could either get their photo taken by photographer Brett Gilmour or they could take a selfie and tweet it with the hashtag: #FaceInTheCrowd. Winners are being contacted.
Fans could also get their photo taken at our ReBooth photo booth and purchase the memento with proceeds benefiting ConnecTeen services.
Miss Teenage Calgary, Claudia Carta, also helped out at the event by handing out sunglasses, directing people to our information booth and providing information about teen services.
During half-time Vince Davoli, Senior Vice President of EllisDon’s western division presented a check for $10,000 for the program. Rashma Rajeev, a volunteer, happily accepted the check.
The event was also sponsored by State Farm Insurance and Pattison Outdoor Advertising.
Thank you to the volunteers, sponsors and supporters who made the night fun and unforgettable. Please visit the ConnecTeen Facebook page to see all photos from the event.
